Philippe Cesson

A French-born American, Philippe Cesson started his career working in Paris and London before moving to California in the late 1990s. His marketing experience ranges from large corporations to smaller high-growth companies, both on the agency and client side.

While working for Pinkerton, the largest and oldest security company in the world, he reengineered the customer acquisition and retention strategy by creating and leading a new department combining call center, direct marketing and market research teams. This resulted in doubling the ROI in the first six months alone.

At Adexa, a leading supply-chain management software company, he led the direct marketing department to identify and interact with large B2B customers and prospects via online and offline campaigns.

As a consultant for DirecTV, the number one satellite TV provider in the United States, Philippe increased retention by leading a team to develop prediction models based on subscription patterns.

At TEC International, the world’s leading organization of CEOs, he researched, developed, branded and marketed a re-activation program targeting CEOs and senior executives. Philippe also developed a new online customer acquisition model using e-mail marketing techniques and an e-commerce site.

Philippe is the Founder and Managing Partner of CESSON, a boutique full-service marketing agency with offices in San Diego.

Philippe earned an MBA from the University of Dallas, as well as several French and European degrees in marketing and management.

Philippe is also president of the San Diego French-American Chamber of Commerce and sits on the National Alumni Board of the University of Dallas.
